This is one of the most common and obvious situations where tells conflict. You don't know exactly what his cards are, but you do know that this player has a very strong hand and is seeking the bet. How do you know? His head -- that's the part he thinks his opponent may be conscious of -- is locked straight ahead and he refuses to pose a threat by turning toward the bettor. But his eyes secretly monitor the action. This guy is gonna raise.
